Kallion Sävel is located in the heart of Helsinki’s new restaurant district, by Hakaniemi Square, opposite the Hakaniemi Market Hall. The ambiance is historical, as the residential and commercial Arena building, designed by Lars Sonck, was built in the 1920s. The Arena Theatre has been operating in the building since 1929!
The Sävel restaurant was opened in 2003 and was renovated in early 2024 to its current form. The history of Hakaniemi Square as a central marketplace for Helsinki residents, Finnish ingredients, and the local urban culture inspire us. We are proud to offer our guests delicious culinary experiences, as well as a cozy environment for relaxation and enjoyment, all while surrounded by the sounds of Finnish music.
We organize events in our mezzanine, designed to your wishes, for 20-45 people. The tables in the mezzanine are separated, and the space can be divided into two sections with a curtain, allowing the back area to accommodate 20 people. Let’s plan a suitable menu together, either with table service or a buffet featuring delights from our kitchen.
